Junior, Monson Nicklie, 40, passed away peacefully on Jan. 14, 2024, at Alaska Native Medical Center. He will be buried at his home, Cantwell, Alaska, next to his family members.

Junior was a free spirit. He spent his years working all over Alaska and Lower 48, shoveling gravel, fly-fishing, as a Maintenance Worker for the Park Service and at multiple ski resorts down south and fishing lodges in Alaska.

Viewing will be held on Jan. 19, 2024, at Evergreen Memorial Chapel in Anchorage, Alaska, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. At 12 p.m., his loved ones will drive him home and have a viewing at Cantwell Community Center on arrival, at about 5 p.m. Service and burial will be held on Saturday, Jan. 20, 2024, at 1 p.m., at the Cantwell Community Center. Potluck following the burial.

Junior was loved and will be missed by many.
