 First Fires Of The Season Were Farther East In Manitoba, Saskatchewan And Alberta

Now Fires Have Hit British Columbia, On The Alaska Border 

On Tuesday, June 3rd 2025, reports out of British Columbia said that the ALCAN had been reopened to single lane traffic. The road had previously been closed near Fort Nelson due to an "aggressive" wildfire the day before – Monday, June 2nd. 

There are now an estimated 70 wildfires reported in BC, with half of them labeled out of control.
