Dispatch Text:

On 7/15/23 at approximately 2350 hours, the Alaska State Troopers received a report of a vehicle on fire at the bottom of a cliff at mile 74 of the Glenn Highway.

Troopers, fire, and EMS responded to the scene and located a sedan at the base of the cliff next to a pullout.  The fire was extinguished, but due to the condition of the vehicle, troopers were unable to verify the make or model.

No one was located inside the vehicle or in the surrounding area.  Based on the initial investigation, it appears the vehicle was intentionally set on fire and pushed off the cliff, although the investigation is still ongoing.  If anyone has any information about this incident, please contact the Alaska State Troopers in Wasilla at 907-352-5401.
