Dumb & Dumber. Artificial Intelligence (AI) Gets Stupider By The Minute

Don't Know Much About History, Don't Know Much Biology. Don't Know What A Slide Rule Is For... Don't Know Much About Nothing...

Don't Know Much Biology.
Don't Know What A Slide Rule Is For...
Don't Know Much About Nothing At All!

Artificial Intelligence Is Supposed To Gather Together Millions Of Thoughts & Regurgitate Them Back.

But What If The Flotsam & Jetsam Of The World Wide Web Is Just Plain Wrong?

Fortune Magazine's Recent Headline:
"Over just a few months, ChatGPT went from correctly answering a simple math problem 98% of the time to just 2%, study finds"

The Case For Being Human

Artificial Intelligence (AI) has been scaring people because it's so good at scraping up facts and repackaging them. It seems that AI is so great  – instantly solving problems, writing dense documents and gathering things together – that it'll make people obsolete.

There's been talk of AI working to find medical solutions. There's been talk of it taking over the important jobs of paralegals, working on investigating crimes and legal cases. There's been talk of it taking over writing stories, plays, novels, news articles, movies, poems, paintings and songs – and also of scamming people out of a bunch of money by pretending to be what it isn't...

And there's been talk that AI will be so good at all of this that it'll take over the world somehow.

When Stanford University asked ChatGPT to answer a specific math question, in March it was right almost 100% of the time.

But -- surprise! -- by June, it had slipped. The AI program, instead of getting better, had gotten terribly worse.

It could only answer that question 2% of the time once it had taken on the world as we know it.
