On February 9, 2026 at 1:07 PM Alaska State Troopers responded to a motor vehicle collision in the Tok area with reported injuries. Investigation showed a passenger vehicle had rear-ended a commercial motor vehicle on the Tok Cutoff. On 02/11/0226 at 1541 hours the Alaska State Troopers received a report of a single vehicle collision near Mile 180 Parks Highway, about 30 miles south of Cantwell. The driver of a silver Ford SUV lost their bearing on the road due to the blowing snow from passing semi-trucks and went into the ditch causing minor damage to their vehicle. Motorists are reminded during times of poor visibility to reduce speed, stop to clear off their taillights and headlights as needed, and to be aware of other vehicles on the road.

Motorist Collides Into Semi In Cantwell. Truck Doesn't Even Notice, & Drives Away Say Troopers

On 02/11/2026 at approximately 1626 hours Alaska State Troopers investigated a report of a motor vehicle collision near mile 150 Parks Highway. A motorist reported a front to rear collision with a semi-trailer. The semi continued unaware of the collision. AST was not able to locate the involved semi. Passenger Car & Semi With Flatbed Trailer Collide In Blowing Snow On Parks Highway In Healy, Troopers Say

On 02/14/2026 at 1406 hours the Alaska State Troopers received a report of a two-vehicle collision involving a passenger car and a semi pulling a flatbed trailer at Mile 248 Parks Highway in Healy. There were no injuries. The passenger car received disabling damage. Blowing snow and the accumulation of snow on the roadway are considered to be contributing factors. AST would like to thank an employee of Overhead Doors for their assistance in moving the vehicles to get the roadway open.

VW Sedan Loses Control & Runs Into Chevy Pickup In Wasilla. Sedan Driver Dies, Troopers Say

On February 14, 2026, at 5:24 pm, the Alaska State Troopers were notified of a vehicle collision on Vine Road and Birch Cove Drive. Troopers and first responders responded to the scene. A preliminary investigation determined that a Volkswagen sedan lost control while driving southbound, and a Chevrolet pickup truck driving northbound collided with it. The driver and sole occupant of the sedan, 39-year-old Wasilla resident Christopher Wright, was taken to a Mat-Su area hospital, where he died. The driver of the pickup was uninjured, and the sole passenger of the pickup was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Wright's next of kin have been notified.

Car Crosses Center Line Near Canada Border, Strikes Commercial Vehicle Head-On, Causing Serious Injury, Troopers Say

On February 13, 2026 at about 1:21 PM, Alaska State Troopers in Tok responded to the report of a serious two vehicle collision near the Alaska/Canada border. Investigation showed that a personal vehicle had crossed the center line and struck a commercial motor vehicle head-on causing serious injury to the private vehicle operator. Two Trucks Collide In Fairbanks, Say Troopers
On 2/14/2026 at approximately 1455 hours, Troopers reported to the area of Badger road and Middleton Avenue for a Motor vehicle collision between two trucks. One of the two vehicles involved had disabling damage and the other was able to leave under its own power. The individuals in the disabled vehicle were transported to the nearest medical facility. Follow up at the hospital showed all parties were healthy and only reporting minor injuries.
