We would like to encourage Kenny Lake School parents and caregivers to join their child(ren) in grades 6–11 at Kenny Lake School to participate in an Opioid Awareness Workshop hosted in partnership with Native Village of Chitina, Chickaloon Village Traditional Council, and Kenny Lake School.

📅 Date: May 20, 2026
🕙 Time: 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM
📍 Location: Kenny Lake School
This workshop is designed for both KLS youth in grades 6-11 and their families, with objectives to:
  • Promote healing and wellness
  • Increase prevention and awareness
  • Help break generational cycles
Nekedezts'ii (Ahtna term) means “the wind changed directions,” reminding us that we can change directions too. Together, we can promote wellness and healing and become cycle breakers in our families and communities.
We hope you and your child(ren) will join us for this meaningful and supportive event.
