The 41-year old log cabin, owned by the Greater Copper Valley Chamber of Commerce, was fixed up, and its sod roof got a haircut to prepare it for the summer season.

Chamber President John Becker, who owns NAPA Copper River Automotive in Glennallen, went to work last fall, having the deck painted green, and is continuing to fix up the cabin in early June. The Chamber offices are now open for the summer, across the parking lot, next to the Hub.

The log cabin once served as the Chamber's main visitor center. Three generations of the Schliesing Family – Herman, Gary and Christopher – helped put up a new sign on top of the cabin.
