In the Governor's race, Dunleavy has just over 50% of the counted vote, so is now, once again, the Governor of Alaska.

Lisa Murkowski has 43.32% of the vote before the added ranked voting second place count. Kelly Tshibaka has 42.68%. However Patricia Chesbro, a Democrat, got 10.35% of the votes, and Chesbro voters are expected to swing, in their second vote, to Murkowski.

Meanwhile, Mary Peltola. a Democrat, is currently far ahead of both Sarah Palin and Nick Begich. Peltola has 48.68% of the vote for Don Young's Congressional seat. Although both Palin and Begich are Republicans, they publicly dislike each other. Peltola is expected to pick up enough votes in ranked voting and easily win Young's seat, getting over 50% after ranked voting runoff today.

Peltola's win would be a sea change for that Congressional seat. She is a woman, an Alaska Native, and a moderate Democrat. However, she is not what you'd call a "typical" Democrat. Her family owns guns, she has hired members of Don Young's Congressional staff to work with her, and she is outspoken on natural resources in Alaska.
