Jordanny Sutherland Accepts Chamber Presidency At Annual Meeting

64 People Attended Annual Meeting Of Greater Copper Valley Chamber Of Commerce 

Jordanny Sutherland takes over the Chamber helm from John Becker. 

The Greater Copper Valley Chamber's 36th Annual Meeting

A large crowd turned out for the Greater Copper Valley Chamber's 36th annual meeting and dinner on Thursday night, October 26th. They came to have fun, enjoy good food, and meet George Rauscher, DOT Commissioner Ryan Anderson and John Harris. They watched two presentations. 

The Caribou Grill served a prime rib dinner, thanks to a generous donation of prime rib from the IGA. 

Sterling Spilinek, from the Ahtna Intertribal Resource Commission spoke about research on the Nelchina Caribou herd, which has lost significant population in the last couple of years. Mark Somerville spoke about the numbers of returning red and king salmon in the Copper River. 

Beside the selection of the President, the Chamber also counted ballots for the Board of Directors. 

The 2024 Chamber Board will be: Jordanny Sutherland, Nathan Helmer, Theresa Laville, John Becker, Margaret Billinger, Meg Jensen, Jeremy Weld, Bruce Cain and Richard Dennis.
