Groups Want To Buy Another Month Of Time, But Say They Don't See Their Way Clear
PRESS RELEASE
COPPER RIVER EMS
MAY 9TH, 2024
Delta Medical Transport, LLC organized a virtual stakeholder meeting that took place Tuesday, May 7, 2024 with the stated intent to “gather stakeholders to address short and long term solutions for the continued provision of EMS services to the Copper River Basin with or without DMT involvement.”
At this meeting, the owners of Delta Medical Transport, Tony and Amber White, personally confirmed in no uncertain terms that due to the lack of available funding, Delta Medical Transport, LLC will not continue providing 911 ALS Ambulance service to the Copper River region after June 30, 2024.
Stakeholders, including DMT and Cross Road Health Ministries continue to explore possibilities that would allow DMT to continue its Glennallen based service for an additional month to allow more time for CREMS to prepare for the pending transition of ALS Ambulance service from DMT to CREMS. However, it appears very unlikely that any such arrangement will be possible.
Attending this stakeholder meeting were:
Tony and Amber White, owners of DMT LLC
Bill Keane, DMT Operations Manager (based in Delta Jct.)
Michael Forcier, Southern Region EMS Council, Inc. CEO
Brad Paulson, Interior Region EMS Council, Inc. Executive Director
Matt Lorenz, Copper River EMS Council, Inc. Executive Director (Volunteer)
Dan Case, Cross Road Health Ministries CFO
Jason Severs, Gakona Volunteer Fire Chief
Lezelda Fiebig, CRNA Director of Medical Services
