If You're North Of 60 You Get To Remove Your Studded Tires On May 15th (And We're North Of 60 In The Copper Valley)

The state of Alaska has extended its studded tire laws this year, due to the unusual snowfall.

If you live "South of 60" -- or below Latitude 60 Degrees -- your studded tires have to be removed by May 1st.

If you live "North of 60" they can stay on until May 15th.

In Canada, North of 60 is a cultural, geographic and political term which marks the 60th parallel, and the boundaries of the three northernmost territories.
