Scrappy, Hard-Nosed Secretary Of Health Is A Known Former Heroin Addict

Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., the United States Secretary of Health & Human Services, believes that people who eat donuts are willingly endangering their health. Recently, in an interview, he said that he thought people who endanger themselves through life choices such as donut-eating don't deserve "free health care."

Kennedy was a known heroin addict for 14 years. Heroin, fentanyl, and cocaine are not on his stated list of bad habits that would lead to being struck from Medicare. In past interviews Kennedy said that heroin actually helped him rise to the "top of his class" in college.

If such a rule against donuts, smoking, and drinking non-diet Coke were to become a criterion for Medicare eligibility, RFK Jr. did not say how the federal government intended to monitor people's donut consumption. Or whether gender, age, or other lifestyle choices would also disqualify people from medical care.
