Mary Ann "Chickadee" Martin Of Copper Center Passes Away September 4th, 2020

Chickadee Martin of Copper Center died on September 4th, 2020.  She was 66 years old.

Born on June 30th, 1954, Chickadee's actual name was Mary Ann Martin. She had been married to Bernie Martin, a Vietnam veteran who died in 2004 at the age of 54, and had three sons: Darren Billum, Bernie Martin, Jr. and James Martin. She had an adopted daughter, Autumn.

Her parents were Frank Billum, Sr. and Marina Montague. She grew up in Copper Center, and went to school in Copper Center and in Anchorage. 

 Both Chickadee and her husband had worked as teamsters. 

Chickadee Martin was buried at Copper Center Cemetery, where her husband was interred.
