Delta Junction Is A Close Neighbor On The Richardson. Their Troubles Are Our Troubles

4th of July, Tourism, Weekend Traffic & Diverted Cars & Trucks From Fires On The Parks Have Led To Multiple Car Wrecks

Type: 4th of July Weekend

Dispatch Text:

The Alaska State Troopers in Delta Junction have responded to multiple motor vehicle collisions this week. Collisions have involved distractions, speeding, and alcohol.

With fires closing roads and impairing travel in other areas, there is more vehicular traffic on the Richardson Highway passing through Delta.

Combined with the 4th of July weekend and regular tourism, troopers ask motorists to plan ahead and expect delays. AST would like residents and visitors to have fun this weekend but also urge drivers to be safe and sober on Alaska roadways.

Please Report Every Dangerous Driver Immediately (REDDI) by calling 911 or 907-895-4800.
