Two Largest Tribal Health Services Say Staff Must Get Shots – To Keep Patients Safe

Even before the sudden surge of the Delta variant gripped the news, Alaska's two major Native health corporations told their staff they had to get vaccinated to protect the public.

The Southcentral Foundation and the Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium have told their 5,000 combined employees they'll have to get the vaccine by October 15th.

The only employees who won't have to comply will need a valid medical reason. The issue of unvaccinated health care workers infecting their patients is becoming a major problem nationally.

Native Americans are among the most vulnerable population in the United States, and most likely to contract Covid.
