The great Edward Curtis, who took the most significant and iconic photographs of Native Americans – ever – published a series of books about his work.

One of them features the people of northern Alaska, and most significantly, Nunivak Island.

On January 8th, tune in to PBS' Antiques Roadshow, and see one of this books being checked over by experts for value and significance.

You can also see other Alaskans, who brought in their antiques and collectables this summer, to the roadshow at the Alaska Native Heritage Center. Susan Butcher's 1990 Iditarod trophy is also in the mix.
