Location: Mat-Su West
Dispatch Text:
On September 8, 2023, at 6:52 pm, An Alaska State Trooper patrolling the Knik Goose Bay area in Wasilla spotted a vehicle driving without license plates.
The trooper recognized one of the passengers of the vehicle as 25-year-old Mat-Su resident Tagaloalagi “Albert” Tuisaua, who had felony warrants. When the trooper attempted to place Tuisaua in custody he began to flee on foot.
Ultimately Tuisaua was able to resist arrest and gained access to the vehicle he’d originally been a passenger in. Multiple AST and Wasilla Police units responded.
During the pursuit two trooper vehicles collided causing disabling damage to both vehicles and injuries to all occupants. AST was able to successfully perform a PIT and Pin of the vehicle, disabling it.
Tuisaua immediately exited the passenger door and fled into the thickly wooded area. Ultimately Helo-3, two K9s and three sUAS drones were utilized, but Tuisaua was not located in the area.
Three troopers involved in the collision were taken to the hospital for treatment of their injuries. All were treated and released with non-life-threatening injuries. Both marked AST patrol vehicles sustained significant damage.
Tuisaua is wanted on multiple felony warrants.
Anyone with information about Tuisaua’s current location, is encouraged to call the Alaska State Troopers at (907) 352-5401. If you see Tuisaua call 911, do not approach him.
