Troy Dolge of Copper Center has come in 3rd in the Valdez Halibut Derby this summer. Troy caught a 203 lb. halibut, and won $1,500 cash for the effort. 

Troy Dolge With His Winning Halibut (Valdez Fish Derbies) 

Troy caught the fish on June 4th, and held onto the lead for weeks, before relinquishing it. The winner of the halibut derby was Paul Casey, of Shelbyville, Tennessee. Paul caught a 316.8 lb. halibut, and took home $10,000. Jim Jack, of Lacey, Washington, caught a 252 lb. halibut, and pocketed $3,000.
