A 39-year old Nelchina man has been accused of DUI by Alaska State Troopers in a July 4th, 2021 incident on the Glenn Highway at Mile 150.

On 07/04/2021 at approximately 2216 hours, Alaska State Troopers received a REDDI report on a white Dodge pickup towing a trailer with a red raft which was speeding, all over the roadway, and passing unsafely.  

AST located the pickup near mile 150 of the Glenn Highway where it was observed traveling 100 mph in the opposing lane of travel.  Investigation revealed the driver, Levi Allain age 39 of Nelchina, was operating a motor vehicle after consuming alcohol.  Allain was arrested and transported to Glennallen post for processing.  Allain was charged with DUI and Refusal to Submit to a Chemical Test and released to a sober adult.
