On 7/6/21, Lucas Wacker, age 36 of Anchorage, pled guilty in Glennallen District court to four counts of violating caribou seasons and bag limits in GMU 13 and GMU 20. Wacker was fined $4000 with $2000 suspended, ordered to pay restitution for the unlawfully taken caribou, and was ordered to forfeit the meat and antlers of the unlawfully taken caribou as well as two rifles used in the take. The conviction was the result of an investigation by the Alaska Wildlife Troopers into Wacker's unlawful hunting in the fall of 2020.
On 2/5/21, Lucas Wacker, age 35 of Anchorage, was summoned to appear in Glennallen District Court on multiple counts of violating caribou seasons and bag limits in both GMU 13 and GMU 20, wanton waste of a big game animal, and unlawful possession and transportation. Arraignment is set for 2/23/21 in Glennallen Court.
