DUI, Controlled Substances, Along With Weapons Misconduct Charged In Copper Center By Troopers

On 09/18/2021 at approximately 1647 hours, Village Public Safety Officers were patrolling the Copper Center area following a bear mauling when they observed a male, identified as Eric Stevens, slumped over the wheel of his vehicle.  

Investigation revealed that Stevens was under the influence of controlled substances.  Further, several hunting rifles were found in the vehicle.  Stevens was arrested on one count each of Misconduct Involving Weapons IV and DUI.  He was initially remanded at Glennallen Trooper Post and later transported to Mat-Su Pretrial Facility and held on $500 bail.
