On 09/4/2021 at approximately 2050 hours, Alaska State Troopers responded to a reported kidnapping which occurred off N Chickaloon Way in Sutton. The caller reported that a 28-year-old female resident of Anchorage had been forced into a vehicle at gunpoint by two male suspects before driving away with her.

 A witness followed the vehicle and reported observations to 911 dispatchers. Palmer Police Department officers responded to assist and located the vehicle outside the Sutton General Store, successfully detaining the two suspects and locating the victim, who suffered minor injuries. 

Hunter Tamez, 27-years-old of Palmer, and Nathanael Albright, 37-years-old of Anchorage, were both charged with Kidnapping, Robbery in the First Degree, and Assault in the Third Degree and Albright was additionally charged with Misconduct Involving Weapons in the Third Degree. Both were booked into Mat-Su Pretrial without bail. The investigation is ongoing and additional charges are expected.
