SEALED IN SPIT

Margaret Witt’s “Sealed in Spit” is a compelling yet light-hearted play that explores the complexities of human relationships and the tendency we all have to make hasty judgments about people based on superficial traits.

The story revolves around three lovely sisters who own a struggling matchmaking company. They are given a life-changing opportunity by a rich businessman named Billy, who offers them a significant sum of money if they can find his childhood friend Bubba a perfect match within a week. The sisters are excited about the offer, hoping it will save their company from its numerous problems—including software issues and mismatched couples.

However, the challenge becomes daunting when they meet Bubba. The sisters begin to question their ability to succeed in this high-stakes matchmaking mission. As the week progresses, the story takes unexpected turns, with love and its intricacies tested in various ways. The plot unfolds with twists and surprises, leaving the audience in suspense about the outcome.

In the end, the sisters must rely on their wit, resourcefulness, and understanding of human connections to find a suitable match for Bubba within the time limit. Through this journey, they learn valuable lessons about love, communication, and the complexities of relationships. The story serves as a reminder that love can be mysterious and unexpected, even when it seems mismatched.
