43-Year-Old Wasn't Allowed To Travel Outside Of Anchorage, They Say 

Incident Happened At Popular "Salmonfest"

On 08-05-23, at 1550 hours, Troopers assigned to the Anchor Point Post and the Highway Interdiction Team contacted Joshua “Charlie Hussell” L Brown, age 43, of Anchorage at the Salmonfest camping area in Ninilchik.  

Joshua was the subject of a complaint for selling mushrooms inside the concert area.  Joshua was on parole for assault in the 1st degree and was not in possession of a travel pass to be outside the Anchorage area, was intoxicated and in possession of cocaine on his person.  An investigation into Joshua’s tent area resulted in a total of 92.5 grams of cocaine, 500 grams of psilocybin mushrooms, 62.1 grams of methamphetamine, 100 tablets of suspected LSD and over 200 grams of hash oil.  

An additional 428 grams of an unknown white substance thought to be a synthetic narcotic will be sent for testing.  Other high potency THC products were also located.  Joshua was remanded to Wildwood Pretrial for violating the terms of his parole, MICS 3 x4 and MICS 5 x4.  Further charges are suspected once testing is complete.  The seizure is estimated at a rough street value of over $50,000.  The investigation is continuing.
