Dana Becker Honored With All-American VFW Team Award At Kentucky Convention

Glennallen VFW Post 10682 receives

The Glennallen VFW Post Commander was recently honored at the 125th VFW National convention. 

As the current Commander of the Post Dana Becker was honored with the “All-American” Team award. The post was ranked 23rd in Division 11 which includes VFW posts with 25-100 members from around the Globe. Commander Becker was present at the Kentucky International Convention Center in Louisville, Kentucky to receive the award in person from the 2023-2023 National Commander Duane Sarmiento.

The list of considered accomplishments for the All-American Team award are: Growth in  participation in both the Patriot’s Pen and Voice of Democracy scholarships; Teacher of the Year Community Service; participate in the Buddy Poppy program; participate in Veterans and Military Support
Programs.

The Certificate states: “In recognition of steadfast leadership in all VFW endeavors, thus qualifying as a member of the 2023-2024 All-American Team of Post Commanders”.

This was an unexpected award and presentation for Commander Dana Becker. Even though this is awarded to the Commander, it reflects on the Post as a whole. The Auxiliary was very supportive helping the Post achieve the ranking for this award.
