 State Awarded $52 Million Less In Funding Than They Asked For 

According to multiple media reports around Alaska, the Alaska Department of Transportation was awarded $19 million in August by the Federal Highway Administration. The state had asked for $71.4 million for the August distribution. 

Apparently, it got $52 million less, in part due to significant errors when DOT submitted its initial requests.
