In early January 2022 44-year-old Fairbanks resident Caleb Bennet uploaded multiple videos to social media where he threatened the lives of law enforcement officers and a judge.

An arrest warrant was granted by an Anchorage court on January 5, 2022, for Terroristic Threatening in the Second Degree. On January 11, 2022, at approximately 1230 hours, the Alaska State Troopers Fairbanks Criminal Suppression Unit and Northern Special Emergency Reaction Team located Bennet in a commercial vehicle in the Fairbanks area. Bennet was arrested without incident and remanded to Fairbanks Correctional Center on the arrest warrant. The Alaska State Troopers would like to thank DOT Commercial Vehicle Enforcement and the Fairbanks Area Narcotics Team for their assistance in the operation.
