Almost 3,000 Alaskans Got Covid The Weekend of October 9th As The Pandemic Continues To Rage Across The State

October 11th, 2021

The state of Alaska reported 15 new Covid-19 cases in the Copper River Census Area just over the past weekend.

Considering the region's small population, that makes the Copper Valley a Covid hot spot.

Meanwhile, there were 2,792 new officially recognized cases of Covid in the state as a whole – with almost a thousand of them in the city of Anchorage over the weekend.

Hospitals throughout the state remain in trouble due to the large number of sick and contagious people crowding their rooms.
