Long time Copper Basin resident Daniel Lee Hoadley Jr. passed away on February 1, 2023, at Providence Valdez Medical Center. Dan was born August 22, 1953, in Spokane Washington, to Daniel Lee Hoadley Sr. and Marion Grace McKittrick Hoadley.

Survivors include his daughters, Trishia Lynne Kendall (spouse Loren Jason) of Valdez and Brandy Schewe (spouse Josh) of Minnesota; brother Tony Hoadley of Palmer; sisters, Jennifer Hinkle of North Carolina and Jana Mizantahl of Washington State; five grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Dan is also survived by his best friend Matt Krinke who was always there for him when he needed a hand. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Victo- ria Brown.

Dan served in the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged in 1971. He owned and operated Dan’s Towing in Glennallen for many years and had a passion for mechanical work. He also worked as a CNA and EMT throughout the Copper Basin area.

In later years he developed a strong interest in drones and owned several. His daughter Trishia says, “He always carried a roll of duct tape in his pocket.”
