Community Meeting April 6th To Discuss Spring Flooding Preparation

There is a community meeting planned Thursday, April 6, 2023, at 5:30 PM at the American Legion Hall to discuss Spring Flooding Preparation.

The winter of 2022 was a record snowfall year. There was major flooding in the spring of 2022 in Glennallen and along the Copper River.

We lost homes, disrupted travel, businesses and essential community facilities were flooded.

The Governor declared it a disaster event.

This year we have another even bigger record snowfall year. Flooding should be expected and we are meeting as a community to discuss ways to prepare.

Spring Flooding Planning Community Meeting Thursday April 6, 2023 at 5:30 PM at the American Legion Hall MP 187 Glenn Highway, Glennallen, Alaska.
