The Department of Transportation has unveiled a “Report A Safety Concern” interactive website. Alaskans are asked to locate a dangerous part of the road on an interactive Google map, and then report it, describing why the place is unsafe.
In the short time since the site went up, dozens of residents have participated. Almost all the current reports are either from the Anchorage-Wasilla area or Fairbanks. (You can read their comments, along with a graphic showing the location.)
Speak up and send in reports about the Copper Valley. We have our own problems: Long Lake Hill, the 65 mph speed limits at Gulkana Bridge, Caribou Creek, Purinton…
It takes less than two minutes to fill out a form. There are only a few questions.
