Anchorage & Big Lake Hunters Charged with Unlawfully Taking Cow Moose, Failure To Salvage, Unlawful Possession & Transportation

On 9/15/22, the Alaska Wildlife Troopers responded to a report of a cow moose taken in the upper Gakona River.  

The subsequent investigation revealed Donald Beals, age 64 of Anchorage, Jessie Beals, age 40 of Anchorage, and Josh Delaney, age 31 of Big Lake were involved in the unlawful take of the cow moose, and the subsequent failure to salvage of all of the rib meat.  


Donald Beals was charged with unlawful possession and transportation, Jessie Beals was charged with unlawfully taking a cow moose, failure to salvage, and unlawful possession and transportation.  Arraignment is set for 10/4/22 in Glennallen District Court.
