Troopers Charged Man After Receiving REDDI Report In Construction Zone, They Say

Type: DUI, Refusal, Reckless Endangerment, Resisting Arrest, Disorderly Conduct

On 06/02/2023 at approximately 1534 hours, AST Glennallen received a report of a vehicle driving unsafe through a construction area. 

AST located the vehicle near mile 187 of the Glenn Highway in Glennallen and contacted the driver, Jacob Butler, age 46, of Kenny Lake. Investigation revealed Butler was under the influence of alcohol with an adult male front seat passenger and a juvenile back seat passenger. 

Butler refused SFST's and began to walk back to his vehicle. He then resisted arrest but was ultimately arrested by the Trooper on scene. Once back at the Glennallen State Trooper Post, Butler refused to submit a sample of his breath as required by law. Butler is currently being held on Driving Under the Influence, Refusal to Submit to a Chemical Test, Reckless Endangerment, Resisting Arrest, and Disorderly Conduct.
