Cross Road Says "EMS Funding" Will Be Extended At Least 6 Months From Now

Funding for the Delta Medical Transport ambulance contract was due to end on July 1st. On Wednesday, June 21st, Steve Gallagher of Cross Road Medical Center told the Country Journal:

  • Cross Road Health Ministries has EMS funding for the next 6 months maybe a little longer.

  • The Rural Alaska Emergency Services is working on grants and in the next quarter hopefully will have some funding starting.

  • Cross Road Health Ministries is also working on partners for funding to provide more time for Rural Alaska Emergency Services to find funding for an entire year that hopefully will be reoccurring.

The Country Journal has asked Cross Road for more specific details regarding who would be providing the EMS services, how they will be provided, and more information about the Rural Alaska Emergency Services and its efforts for the future.
