Charged With Failure To Stop And Driving Under The Influence, They Say

On 07/30/2023 at approximately 0226 hours, AST received a REDDI (Report Every Dangerous Driver) of a loud vehicle driving at a high rate of speed on a side road near mile 110 of the Richardson Highway.
AST was patrolling the area when a vehicle pulled into a gravel pit at a high rate of speed and did not immediately stop for AST.
The driver eventually stopped and was identified as Kambriya Ewan, age 19 of Gulkana. Investigation revealed Ewan was driving under the influence of alcohol and was placed under arrest for DUI and Fail to Stop at the Direction of a Police Officer 2nd Degree. Ewan provided a sample of her breath resulting in .139 BrAC and was later released to a sober party with a date to appear in court.
