Wildlife Troopers Found Two Kings In Possession, Instead Of Bag Limit Of Only One

On 6/17/23, Reid Koskiniemi, age 32 of Palmer was issued a summons to appear in Glennallen District Court for violating the Chinook salmon bag limit of his Chitina Personal Use Dipnet permit.  

Koskiniemi was contacted by the Alaska Wildlife Troopers during a patrol of the fishery and during the contact Troopers learned Koskiniemi had caught and retained two Chinook salmon, in violation of the bag limit of one.  On 7/27/23, Koskiniemi was found guilty in Glennallen Court on the single charge and was sentenced to pay a fine of $200 and forfeit the unlawfully taken Chinook salmon.
