2. Copper River Area Division of Forestry and Fire Protection—Firefighter Strong! A strong showing of firefighters, including local firefighters staffing multiple fire engines, Gannet Glacier Fire Crew from Palmer, a helicopter crew from the Kenai Area Forestry station, dispatchers, and other logistical  support personnel—all here to keep you safe. Also, Smokey on a throne of scribed aspen and chainsaw milled lumber, adorned with pulaskis and other firefighting tools.

3. Copper River Hockey ClubThese athletes are strong as ice!

There were 16 float entries. Lots of candy was thrown, and we appreciate everyone’s participation. A big shout out to Jim Marchini for running the games for the kids, the Lions Club for the marvelous salmon bake, and CBS for providing dumpsters and portable toilets. The VFW started the day with a tasty breakfast, and Glennallen Chiropractic sponsored the Fun Run for the 40th year. What beautiful weather we had for the day!

Grand Marshals were Lena Charley and Laura Hancock of Chistochina, who are sisters. Lena was accompanied by her daughter, Agnes Denny
