School Bus Runs Off Road

Local tow truck drivers worked round the clock on Wednesday, October 12th, attending to car wrecks due to unusually heavy snowfall, ice fog, white outs, speeding cars and an inability to see the edge of the road.

Catherine Vereline of Glennallen Towing told the Country Journal at noon on Thursday, October 13th, "There's been a ton of accidents. We were out all night." She added that she believed there were no injuries.

"They were going so fast. One guy actually wrecked his truck and trailer. We got him back on the road; he wrecked it again. They flipped and lost control."

There was also a school bus in the ditch. "It was just a mess. All my guys were out until 6 o'clock this morning. They have to get some sleep."

She said once her tow truck drivers are rested up, they'll hit the road again "...and go get anybody else stuck out there."
